"I grew up with trees. I love trees. I love the environment. I like planting. I always find a way to plant something in my land.”
Meet Samuay. He lives with his family in Moo 1 of Saphan Hin district. He lives with his son, two daughters, and grandson. The five of them work as farmers in the rice fields, growing mangos, rubber trees, and trees through the Paper-Tree Project. In the mornings, he wakes up to feed his cows and chickens, and then goes to work in the fields or farms. Samuay has been planting these trees for five years. His plans for the money he will make selling trees again include renovating his lands and farm, and giving some to his grandson for tuition fees. He is very happy to be planting trees again, because he loves trees, the environment, and planting things overall. Every time he sees an empty piece of land, he imagines the things he would be able to plant there. Samuay is excited to watch them grow!
